Rico Turchetti was a true innovator, he was the one that adapted a non-pedal lap steel into an 8 pedal steel guitar for the first time anywhere because the commercial models had only 4-6 pedals mounted on the left side, and he also created a unique mechanism that he used to raise and lower the individual strings. He never patented it. He was on the Arthur Godfrey Show on nationwide TV in the 50's. ... more
